The Richland Center Hornets defeated Galena 1-0 in high school soccer action on a sunny day. The field was still very wet and muddy after Tuesday's rain. The score was tied at 0 going into halftime. In the 15th minute of the second half the hornets scored off a loose ball just outside the 18-yard box. The Hornet goal was made by junior Sylvia Schmidt.
